Hello, I’m Jay Rose Ana.
I am a poet, writer, spoken word performer, and the Worcestershire Poet Laureate for 2026–2027. I believe poetry belongs to everyone. My work begins with ordinary moments, conversations over coffee, riverside walks, supermarket aisles and the quiet acts of kindness that remind us we are never as alone as we sometimes feel.
Throughout my Laureateship, I am exploring three simple ideas: connection, community, and creating opportunities for people to speak and feel heard. Whether I am performing, leading workshops, visiting schools or writing commissioned work, my hope is always the same: to leave people feeling a little more seen than they did before they arrived.
